Managing human-wildlife conflict and facilitating human-wildlife co-existence is integral for ensuring ongoing local support for conservation. Our Mazingira Club students all received a copy of Ole Peenko’s Journey and other stories, developed by Kenya Wildlife Trust for children living near important wildlife areas in Kenya. Over the next two weeks, our Maarifa educator is discussing ways to protect people, livestock and crops, while at the same time protecting lions, elephants and other species through fun and engaging stories and activities.
