Every year in Australia, more than 160 million drink containers litter our streets, beaches, parks and waterways.

So what if we could improve the health of our local environment and contribute to educating our next generation about our natural world?
Recycling is the core of our revenue raising and education campaign in Australia. We encourage individuals, and work with communities, small business, schools and sporting clubs to collect their 10 cent eligible containers to support our efforts. Current recycling partners:

  •  Sanctuary Cove community
  • Rotary Hope Island
  • Upper Mount-Gravatt Primary School, Upper Mount Gravatt, Queensland
  • Upper Coomera State College, Upper Coomera, Queensland

– thank you!

Did you Know?

Reducing energy consumption
Recycling just one aluminium can can save enough energy to run a television set for 3 hours; and recycling just one glass bottle can save enough energy to power a washing machine for 10 minutes.

Saving resources
It takes up to 3-7 litres of water and one litre of oil to produce one litre of bottled water; recycling aluminium saves 95%of the energy used to make new metal from raw materials.

Reducing pollution
It can take more than 1000 years for a plastic water bottle to bio-degrade. When littered they often end up in creeks and the ocean where they break up in small pieces, killing aquatic life that mistake them for food.

Funding education
10 filled orange Envirobank recycle bags generates enough refunds to pay school fees for a child in need in rural Kenya for the whole year; 2 bags buys a solar light for a student to study after dark !
